Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS A WHOLE HOUSE INSPECTION?

A whole home inspection is an evaluation of a home's condition by a trained professional. Any home that is being purchased should be inspected.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE INSPECTION?

The main purpose of a home inspection is to reduce the amount of risk in a real estate transaction. Another purpose of the inspection is to identify any visible adverse conditions of components or systems in the opinion and judgment of the inspector.

WHEN DO I CALL JTH INSPECTIONS?

As soon as you have found the house to meet your family's needs, you should call JTH Inspections and schedule an appointment for the inspection. Ask a friend or your agent to be there if you can't, although we have access to most homes with a Supra Key.  I prefer that the homebuyer be present at the time of the inspection so that I can share my findings and give a clear understanding of the report. Be sure that all the utilities are on.
